Huizenga was raised in a working class family of modest means. His father was a milkman, delivering door to door in northwest Indiana. He was raised to value hard work, taught to love God and to serve others, and was encouraged to get a good education.

John graduated with a business/engineering degree from Calvin College in 1987 and soon after began a career in Banking.

Since 1991, John has helped people from all walks of life to buy houses and save money, and is now President of Homes and Loans of West MI. John specializes in helping buyers find their dream home.  John also offers mortgage financing services to homebuyers and mortgage refinance through Raustin Home Mortgage.

When not helping others through work, Huizenga spends time with his wife and three kids, and is a volunteer consultant for Love Inc, a Christian non-profit outreach to those in financial need.
