As Jer and I started thinking about buying a house, we knew we didn't want some realtor hounding or pressuring us. So, we started looking at houses through a service called JustListed.com. that's how we met John. He started sending us listings of houses in our area and our price range, and didn't pressure us at all.
When I started emailing him questions, I soon figured out that he knew his stuff and was someone I could trust to help us out. So, we decided to have him get us a mortgage and help us find the right house. He is a mortgage and real estate expert, and I was right to trust him.
He got our mortgage approved on an FHA loan with $100 down payment for the foreclosed house we bought. He also locked us in on an amazing fixed rate! What a deal!
He gave us good advice and helped us find the right house for our family, and we got a great deal on a foreclosed house.
I'll be honest, the mortgage process didn't go smoothly all the time. But John was working hard for us and made it right in the end. There were roadblocks set up for us by the mortgage company and the seller, and he helped us get around them. We couldn't have asked for a better outcome.
John works hard, he's honest and he knows what he is doing. He always got back to us quickly when we had a question, and was there for his honest oponion if we needed it. He was assertive in getting the job done for us, but was never pushy or aggressive, like some realtors and mortgage people are.
If you are looking for a realtor, or a mortgage lender, I would recommend John.

As first time homebuyers, we needed help finding the right house for us and we needed guidance through the mortgage process. We had a great experience with John in buying a house and getting a mortgage.

“We can't say enough good things about John! He ‘saved our behinds’ ...twice!”
We are self employed and our income is hard to document and for reasons beyond, our control our credit had taken a dive too. The first loan John did was several years ago when we purchased our house. The local banks didn't want to give us a mortgage because of our tough to document income and our less than perfect credit. We felt stuck and disappointed.
Then we heard John's ad on JQ99, the Christian radio station in Holland. He met with us and told us he could help. And help he did. He got us a mortgage and gave us advice on how to clean up our credit. Then several years later, after some tough times in our business we found ourselves unable to pay a business loan at a local bank. The bank had a lien on our house and our business, and the band's attorney gave us an ultimatum.... "Pay it off or we foreclose!"
I should have called John right away, but instead I went on the internet and found a lender who made a hunch of promises she didn't keep.
Finally, I did what I should have done in the first place. I called John and he structured a mortgage to get cash out of our house to pay off the business loan just before it went to foreclosure.
How is he different? How did he get it done when others could not? He knows the business, he has contacts, but mostly he just shoots straight and tells it like it is. He didn't make a hunch of promises he couldn't keep and he fought hard and got creative to get our mortgage approved.
I would recommend John Huizenga to anyone getting a mortgage, especially if you have the challenges we had with our income and credit.

My wife and I were not planning on buying a house until our financial situation was a bit more established. But when the perfect house came up we had to act fast. We knew that getting a mortgage would be a challenge because of our income situation as a full time student and self employment in the computer industry.

“We don't have enough good things to say about John. We have total confidence in him.”
We'd been everywhere: several different banks, numerous mortgage companies. Even realtors were calling around trying to get us a mortgage. No one would approve us for a loan, and we were getting sick of living with our parents, Chad and I and our 2 kids.
Every time we tried a new mortgage company, they were so enthusiastic, so sure they could make this work for us. We'd get excited! Maybe this is it, we'd think... Then, two months later they would, fess up and tell us we couldn't get a loan.
It was all because of our self employment income. Our credit was great, but our income didn't look so great on the tax returns...
Then finally someone recommended us to John Huizenga. "Here we go again", we thought... We decided to meet with him, but this was the last time for us, the last try. If this didn't work we were going to find a place to rent.
